Ranger by Dr. Rebecca Sharp

‘did you know studies show more pathogens are exchanged by shaking hands than a ten second kiss?’

did i read this simply because tiktok said the mmc was spencer reid coded? yes? did i love it? yesssss

sydney, our main character, escapes her cheating ex-fiancé and angry fans after offing a character inspired by him in her latest romance novel. seeking solace, she heads to wisdom, wyoming, renting an apartment there. she meets ranger, her landlord and neighbor, who's incredibly smart but often overlooked. despite his usual confidence, ranger finds himself flustered and confused around sydney , especially when she touches him, which throws him off like never before.

‘baby brains, you didn't stop thinking. you were just thinking with a different part of your body,’

i honestly didn’t think this book would be my cup of tea, but boy oh boy was i wrong. who knew nerdy guys could be so fricken cute! i literally feel in love with ranger and his little random facts, it was so random but literally added so much to his character. rangers character felt so new and refreshing! i honestly have never read a book where a character was like ranger which really peeked my interest.

‘are you finger f***ing me or fact f***ing me?’

i really enjoyed ranger and sydney’s relationship! they were so cute together, the chemistry, the spice were all *chefs kiss* they really suited eachother which i enjoyed. i loved how they weren’t the typical introvert and extrovert mixed couple, they were both introverts and enjoyed reading and staying in, which really related to me! i just need to find my own spencer reid/ranger
