I give this 3.5 stars, but I'm nudging it up to 4 because I'm a generous soul. ;)
I like this story. It captivated me and entranced me and I was fascinated by it. But it was by no means a comfortable story to read. I still don't think I truly understand the mindset of a 24/7 slave, TPE type lifestyles, but I could understand enough to appreciate what was happening in this book. I'm already halfway through Mephisto's POV on the week and my opinion remains unchanged.
But it was well written and thoughtful and interesting. I'm definitely interested to read the second book in this series. I want to see how this all plays out and what secrets about these characters I still haven't learned yet.
