Shards of Time, by Lynn Flewelling

4.0

Back to the typical days of nightrunning with a touch more of the supernatural, but with a much more established relationship between Alec and Seregil, which I appreciate. The cast overall is smaller, but more focused on each of them as a result and the book gains from it. The story ties neatly into the rest of the worldbuilding. Enjoyable, though not groundbreaking
