Thank you so much to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book in advance in exchange for an honest review!

Whew! This. Book. Has. EVERYTHING. Twists. Turns. Secrets. Betrayal. Drama. White women making terrible decisions and white men being generally terrible.

For real, I had a hell of a good time. I won't lie, it did take me a bit to get into this book. It's paced rather slowly, at least at the beginning. But the pay off... The pay off is so worth it.

Did I like the characters? No, not really. I had issues with nearly everyone, save for Katie. Katie, I really enjoyed. But I found each character grounded, even as the story grew more and more ridiculous and dramatic.

Did I see some of the twists coming? Kind of. But I read a lot of mysteries and true crime. And truthfully, they played out a little differently on the page than in my predictions anyway, so in any case... They were well-executed, in my opinion.

And that ending... I won't spoil it, but I found it to pay off pretty well, which is A LOT more than I can say for a lot of the mystery/thrillers I've read lately.

This is a book I wouldn't mind seeing played out on the screen, honestly. I will probably purchase and reread the physical copy of this next year, once I am able to get my hands on it.
