Waking the Witch: Reflections on Women, Magic, and Power by Pam Grossman

4.0

Pay no attention to the dates here. I don’t know how to work GoodReads yet. ANYWAY! This book is great. It’s part witch memoir and part history of “modern witchcraft” as we understand it. A great comparison is made here: how the world feels about witches is how it feels about women. A lot of modern political discourse near the end, which apparently has put a lot of people off, but it gives us vital context for the environment in which the “witch wave” is occurring. Highly recommend to anyone who is a witch, loves a witch, or is witch-curious.
