This is a very pretty audiobook I just listened to. Told from the perspective of a grandma, mom, and daughter, all as adults. I really like how it approaches generational trauma and healing and forgiveness while staying very realistic with the idea of moving past somebody's mistakes. It's also a story about womanhood, motherhood, women protecting women, and independence without being a Mary Sue/ Pick-Me trope. The family is from Vietnam and has some trigger warnings for domestic abuse but no SA. Also some very satisfying poetic justice.
