Forgetting the Rules by Mariah Dietz

The exception to the rule

This book series made me a fan of this author. It's honest and so fun to embrace the friendships throughout.

Let me start with this, Ian is AMAZING, but Rose will steal your heart! We meet them both in 'Defining the Rules' and I knew from there Rose was my book sister. Talk about two stubborn people falling for one another. It was easy to see that Ian was invested from the beginning and was heartbroken when Rose shut him out. Rose was born with this energy that draws people in. She was meant to change the world until her world came crashing down. One of the things I loved most about this story is Rose's journey to be who she was meant to be and all Ian wanted to do was hold on and not let go. Watching the emotions play out for these two is a perfect journey. The jealousy, longing, friendship, comfort, anger and lust, will twist you up and keep you reading.

Something I want to say I loved about this book, when we love our kids we try to protect them from the world. With some of that, they don't know the reason behind many decisions you make. In this case, it opened Rose's eyes and allowed her to heal her relationship with her father.

We have Paxton's story left and while I can't wait for, I'm not ready to say goodbye to these guys!!!
