I read this book as part of Jeanette McCurdy's book club- it was SO GOOD. Would be a great book club book. Realized at the end she also co-wrote another amazing book The Sun Does Shine.
Extremely informative in elaborating on what we should already know: the criminal justice system is incredibly punitive and hard to navigate. Thinking of how difficult it was for a college educated white woman makes and multiplying that exponentially for other populations.
Putting this in the top 5 books of the year.
