Lullaby by Leïla Slimani

Did not finish book. Stopped at 44%.
Tbh, it wasn’t the best book but it also certainly wasn’t the worst. I’ve just been on a massive book slump for the past 2 years and unfortunately at this point, I’m not sure if I can even calm myself a reader anymore. I mean I still avidly buy books and add so many to my tbr weekly, and I still get the excitement of finding a really good recomendación that I swear I’ll read. But when it comes to the act of sitting down and opening the book, my body just won’t cooperate with my brain. This book is pretty slow paced anyway which didn’t really help my attempt at healing my slump, and therefore I’ve given this book 3 stars as I know I would have enjoyed it , if I didn’t take 5 months just to read half of it. In fact, page 105 is a rough guess of where I left the book at; I guenuinly could not tell you if I last read up to the midlle or close the end! Again, not completely the fault of the book, but playing devils advocate, surely an enticing worthwhile read would intrigue even the worst of reading slumpers… (AND I absolutely hate DNFing books- if I don’t like a book 70 pages in i will force myself to endure the pain that is the next 300 pages left of it, yet this book managed to make me do it anyway?)
