This is a very powerful book that I believe more people should read. It not only follows the journeys of three women’s lives during the rise of Hitler, but also how everyday people could fall for the trap. It is interesting reading it during a time where propaganda is still used to keep people on the wrong side of the war, or voting for people who should not be in politics. It is really forcing me to reflect on all of the media I consume.
I will say that while listening to the book, keeping up with the dates/years was difficult. I wish we had gotten to see Hannah and Alfea making up in 1944 instead of jumping to an epilogue.
