Another amazing Kelly Yang book--she writes characters that you empathize with so strongly, they are so well developed! I loved both Lina and her family, but also the care that Yang gave to side characters such as Carla and Finn. I think my greatest disappointment is that the graphic novels that are referenced in the story (at least some of them) are not real life books, because I think students will be asking to read them after reading this story! Highly recommend for middle school and up.
