The Hummingbird Killer had me wondering what was coming next at every twist and turn. I laughed, I cried, it was a roller coaster of emotions. There are so many great characters in the book that I loved and of course Isabel I was rooting for all the way and I need to give her a hug. I found it refreshing to read something in the YA dystopian/thriller genre that didn't have a romantic sublot because Isabel is aroace. It was so nice to see her identity discussed on page as well! There are also multiple queer side characters which was great to see.
