The Wives by Tarryn Fisher

5.0

What can I say about The Wives? This book made me question everything! At first I attempted to read the first chapter but then I decided I couldn’t so I ended up reading another book. When I got done with that book, I decided to see if I can read it again. The first part of the book (you could call it) was that the main character who we do not learn her name until the middle of the book itself (around chapter 16 I believe). This book is about a woman who claims that her husband is a polygamist. But we later figure out what we find out her name that is most definitely not the case. There is three wives altogether, Seth is the husband; he has his wife “Monday“ (third wife), “Tuesday" (first wife) and then the main character “Thursday” (second wife). She calls them by days of the week because that’s the days he spends time with each woman. “Thursday” finds a doctor visit receipt for “Monday” that Seth forgot to take out of his pants pocket since she’s apparently pregnant. “Thursday” can’t help herself and goes to see what she looks like on the Internet. She goes as far to meet the woman who has no clue who she is. “Thursday” sees that there are bruises on “Monday’s” s arm when they end up meeting. She wants to get to the bottom of what is happening since they have the same husband. When “Thursday” goes home after their visit, she finds Seth there. Seth and “Thursday” get in this argument which turns violent and lands “Thursday” in the hospital.

This Chapter is where we start learning the truth. Does Seth have 3 Wives? Is it all made up? What happened to “Monday”? Is she alright? Is “Thursday” crazy?

The last two chapters will keep you on the edge of your seat.
