Glow by Ruth Forman

3.0

This one didn't quite hit the mark I think it intended to, as much as I wanted it to with the potential of the joyful and loved representation. The illustrations are lovely, and showcase the beauty of this Black boy and the glow of his skin, but the narrative arc of the poem through the book didn't quite connect leading me to do a lot of flipping back and forth trying to reconnect it. The companion board book, Curls, was more successful.
