The silent patient was a slow read for me. The fact that you only find out the answers with 20 pages left of the book, if that, had me annoyed.
I really liked the way that it’s written. I love the storyline and thought it was engaging at times, but some things didn’t make sense.
The biggest mistake I feel was when Theo asked Gabriel if he would die for his wife, or would he allow for her to die for his. Pretty much quoting the play that is mentioned throughout. But Theo only finds out about the play after the death of Gabriel. It seems way too coincidental for him to be saying this. It just annoyed me and I feel like that was poor writing.

That is the only reason I gave it a 3 stars.
