Black Magic: Religion and the African American Conjuring Tradition by Yvonne P. Chireau

5.0

super informative
Was exactly what I needed and more for my grimoire research

Chireau went into so much depth across the subject and provided tons of historical accounts, the volume was a little overwhelming. Really glad i picked up this book for my own research into the craft. If you're a white practitioner and you want to learn about why and how racism and cultural appropriation is still prevalent in witchcraft and spiritual communities this book provides a detailed look at how it started.
