Wow... This was... Calling something like Death Follows great, or even good, something that's this dark and disturbing, feels inherently wrong.

I like dark, I do. And disturbing can often mean interesting, and this was definitely both of those.

When Birdie's dad hires on a man to help around the farm, Birdie just knows that there's something unsettling about him. The way he looks back over his shoulder, the way he looks at her... But her daddy needs the help. And besides, other than that really bad feeling in her gut, Birdie has nothing to point to. Not until the dead rats begin to dance.
