The Tragedy of Macbeth Part II: The Seed of Banquo by Noah Lukeman
dark
sad
fast-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Loveable characters? It's complicated
- Diverse cast of characters? No
3.5
EDIT: changed my stars from 4 to 3.5 after some class discussion because while I still stand by this book clearly being written by someone who is familiar with shakespeare, some of the writing/plot stuff was a bit lazy or could have been better edited
I think this play is very good at being what it set out to be!! it felt very shakespearean in language and pacing and plot, but felt more accessible and concise! if it wasn't a sequel, i would definitely give it to someone as a primer for reading actual shakespeare. I actually enjoyed myself in the reading more than I thought I would!
