When I reviewed Towles’ earlier work ‘A Gentleman in Moscow’, to me it felt like reading a children’s book for grownups. ‘The Lincoln Highway’ has the same vibe: some young rascals on a roadtrip where nothing goes as planned. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. But be prepared for some surprises… (Not everything in this tale is suitable for a children’s book.)
Moderate: Suicide and Violence
