Things I liked:
- The plot
- The tension building
- The father-daughter relationship
- The spicy scenes
Things I did not like:
- I could not passably believe summer was his agent. She was unprofessional the whole book.
- Rhett is an absolute man-child. I found it very hard to find him likable.
- "I'm not possessive, I'm protective" was not true at all. I'm alright with possessive MMCs but this wasn't doing it for me. Felt a little gaslighting.
- Punch anyone you don't like? Glad to see we're back in the schoolyard.
- Blatant hypocrisy in thoughts. "I can't judge a book by it's cover," regarding Summer, when literally a paragraph above, Geoff was pegged as a manicure loving city boy?
"I think I loved you from the first time I saw you and you give me that smirk I hated." We can't just rewrite what happened? They genuinely found each other annoying. There's no "I loved you then because I love you now."
I'm likely going to give the second one a go just because it feels less likely that Cade will be as childish.
