The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

This was an excellent book. It read like Pinocchio. A boy lost and wandering through different places. I thought that it really gave a good description of grief, the main character missing his mom and just a place to belong. I have to admit that I kept waiting for the happy ending. It was hard at times to be mired in the tragedy. I did think that the ending was too drawn out, it definitely could have been shortened. I just started to skim at the very end of the book.
