This was DNF @ 44% I'm sad. I'm disappointed. Wanted this to be great. I wanted this to be the best first book of the year. Alas, it was something akin to lost potential. I don't know what this book was trying to be, but it wasn't what I expected. I wanted a modern retelling of the headless horseman. Instead I got a lesson on internalized misogyny and gaslighting.
I got sick of everyone telling Kat and actual Katrina she needed to just be a good wife and mother with their lives and turned off the audiobook and returned it to the library. Here's hoping my next read is better.
