I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by Erika L. Sánchez

4.0

I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter is fantastic. On the one hand, it is a mystery--what, if anything, was Olga hiding before she died?--but on the other hand, it is a coming-of-age story. It deals with mental health and immigrant issues maturely, not straying away from difficult questions, but not grotesquely putting them on display. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
