Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling

5.0

I re-read this book in preparation for seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway. And I was extremely glad I did, because it helped a lot to have reviewed the Harry Potter world beforehand. But I was pleased to re-discover how well crafted it is. J.K. Rowling did a great job with this book, which is impressive, given how much the world grew, and was the basis for movies and, now, plays. The characters are well-drawn, the plot is smart, the world she created is consistent. Books I re-read and enjoy automatically get 5 stars for my ratings.
