So Sweet by Rebekah Weatherspoon

OH MY GOSH! I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! Seriously. This might be my favourite book I've read this year.

This also has one of the only acceptable uses of a NDA in a romance-y story that I would find acceptable. The NDA had nothing to do with the relationship itself (looking at you 50 shades) but instead had to do with the guy's business and not talking about the inner workings of his business (which is a very reasonable thing).

But oh my gosh. Both the characters! They're so sickenly sweet together it makes me want to throw up a little (but that's not bad! On the contrary it's good). They felt more realistic than most millionaire love stories I've read.

And him asking if it was ok to do things to/with her! I melted a little at that. That added on an extra level of "OMG I WANT THIS KIND OF PARTNER" for me. Consent culture and safewords added in I can't think of anything sexier.

I didn't like how short this was. But I'm very excited about the fact that she's working on a second book. I can't tell you how much I NEED more about Kayla.

I didn't care much for her roommate's attitude towards her boyfriend because that's a very douchey attitude but I like how it was resolved.

I honestly can't recommend this book or author enough. She has wonderfully developed characters most of whom aren't white. And her characters are multi faceted as well as diverse in their sexual/romantic preferences. It's hard for me not to love her.

If you haven't bought this book, go buy it. Best decision you'll make this year in my honest opinion.
