Hex and Hexability by Kate Johnson

3.5

A Regency rebel, Tiffany wants nothing to do with any of the norms she is expected to comply with.  When her aunt Esme turns up and she learns she is a witch, so many things make much more sense.  Then the dashing Duke, Santiago, drops into her life.  Will she compromise her ideals for the handsome Duke with the piratical leanings?

If you love historical fiction like Bridgerton, etc, this is for you!  I'm not a huge historical romance fan but there was enough paranormal goings on to keep me interested.  The world building isn't super strong but it's cohesive and there aren't any bits that made me think I had missed something.

Our MC's are likeable and relatable and the easy way Santiago accepts the truth of Tiffany's talents was really nice. They have flaws and vulnerabilities like real folks and that made them much more appealing. The banter between them was sparkling and there is plenty of humour.

Billy, De Groot and Esme were all wonderful secondary characters.
