Firefighter and FBI agent try to bring down a serial arsonist, and the heat is not just from the 🔥. There's insta-lust but it worked for me here. They're both strong characters - he's attracted to her fierceness and bravery, and she to his cockiness and alpha male instincts. I rather liked the process from lust to real feelings, and that she takes the chance with him despite her fear of loss after her ex.

The romance is scorching hot, and with a raw, sexy edge, since they keep running into fires! He has no control around her and it's kinda hot. Steamy, but with a couple sex terms I was a bit 🧐 about. The whodunnit parts are solid and action-packed, and it was a definitely a good read for me.
