It was alright. It did what I wanted it to do: tide me over until the next Dragonfate Games (written by the same author) that releases next month in December. I may continue this series, but I'm undecided about it at the moment.

I don't care about the MPREG (nor do I really care for it in the Dragonfate Games, either). I enjoy the characters and seeing them develop as characters and catch feelings for each other. This book felt really insta-lovey which is something Dragonfate Games does as well, but I find it's done better in that series. I think I also find it easier to tolerate as that series is Omegaverse and deals heavily in things like Fated Mates.

In this book, if only Zat'tor had the insta-lovey feel, I think I would have been more okay with it, but Levi fell first and, in my eyes, fell harder. Levi, the human. Another small thing I didn't really like was how quickly Levi decided he didn't want to go back to Earth, and it was in the first 30%, if I remember correctly, which I felt was far too quickly.

Oh yeah! Until before the MPREG bit, when they find out Levi is pregnant, the book takes place over just a few days. A FEW DAYS! I would have felt a bit better about this if this was like Omegaverse, but it isn't.

I will say that the author did a really good job in the first 70%ish per cent of really making the species that Zat'tor feel like aliens who hadn't encountered other species before, even if there were some significant inconsistencies with that.

This book has a graphic childbirth scene, which I skipped over as I dislike reading them.
