This book started slow (to me) for a Penny Reid novel. Penny writing L.A. movie studio offices/set/club parties just didn’t feel right. The characters were so awkward with each other for so long in the book, too. Maybe Ms. Reid intended for it to be palpable but I was too uncomfortable. The second half of the book hit it’s stride and made the book 3.5 stars overall.
