1Q84 #1-2 by Haruki Murakami

You know how you read a novel by immersing yourself in it, but you're not really in it, you're just a spectator...do you know what I'm saying? Reading Murakami isn't like that. Not quite. Whenever I close the book, there comes the feeling of being a character inside a Murakami novel. Everything becomes connected but disjointed at the same time. Nothing is random. Everything fits. But not quite. During these times, reality becomes more fluid. But everything returns to normal once I finish the book, and I feel, actually, it's all right.
