5 stars. Fucking hell this book was a piece of art. This book made me think about the intricacies of humans and the world as a whole. This book was in general very difficult for me to understand. I haven’t already a book that took me so long to read since the Scarlett letter. This book was amazingly well written. Each character had flaws, dimension, and were so well weitten. You can tell the author has a way with words—people like these are meant to be writers. I wish I can reread this book for the first time all over again. This book kept me in my toes and I can’t wait to read the second one. This brought back my love for fantasy (especially urban fantasy) and I’m very thankful for it.
