Let me just start by saying, I am a little biased because I adore Chris Colfer and I knew this was becoming a movie which I really want to see.
I can see how this book is more of a screenplay than a book. There are drawbacks to that, like it was hard to get to know Carson and like him as a person when he was sarcastic all the time. Sarcasm is perfectly fine, but it can hurt a protagonist. I only really liked him by the last few chapters. The ending was also too abrupt for a book, but would work as a movie.
It did like this book, but even though I haven't seen the movie yet, I feel like I'll like that better.
