Risk No Secrets by Cindy Gerard

Sophie Baylor Weber contacts Wyatt Savage for help when someone tries to abduct her 12-year old daughter, Hope and her friend Lola. She's running a school in San Salvador, El Salvador, a hotbed for gang violence and recent kidnappings. Wyatt has a history with Sophie, who married his best friend, Hugh twelve years ago. She's still the one that got away and he'll do anything to help her free the abducted child.

This one grabbed my attention right away and really never let go. The tension is so off the charts that I had to put the book down to breathe now and then. These were brutal men behind the abduction and the team was seriously at risk. I loved getting Wyatt's history and learning why he gained the nickname Papa Bear. While I admired what Sophie stood for, I wasn't thrilled with how she handled the two best friends. Wyatt deserved a stronger commitment, especially after everything he risked on her behalf.

Despite my issues with Sophie, I very much enjoyed the story. It was exciting, heartbreaking, funny and romantic (Nate has some great moments in this one). Still loving this series.
