A collection of moving essays. They all tug a little in the right direction for me: on loving and forgiving your mother,, on acknowledging the pain caused by your mother and denying your mother a chance to be a part of your life. Some essays lacked charm in writing style, they felt detached and rightfully so. But I loved being so intimately welcomed into each writer’s life. I cherished this book and recommend to anyone but be mindful of some heavy topics discussed.
