Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

challenging dark mysterious sad tense slow-paced

3.0

A solid read with a brilliant concept.
However it was very slow-paced with many unnecessary details. (just my personal opinion)
It took too long to get to the interesting and juicy parts. But the main protagonist is a tenacious, flawed character that makes this book worth reading. Be warned there are many trigger warnings relating to this book do not go into it without doing a little research first it can get really dark at times.
I'm hoping these problems will be dealt with in the sequels to come.
