The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson

challenging informative mysterious slow-paced

3.0

I wanted to read this book because my dad loved it when I was growing up and it sounded compelling.  While this book is about true crime, it is also very biographical which is not typically my genre.  I struggled getting through it but I did overall enjoy it and everything I learned along the way.

The construction of the fair was hard to get through, but the story of HH Holmes always kept me on the edge of my seat.
