The stories were rather hit-and-miss throughout, with some standout hits (Cassandra, Jerusalem, "And Weep Like Alexander," Nothing O'Clock, and Black Dog) and some that really didn't work for me (virtually all of the poems, Orange, Ray Bradbury, and The Return of the Thin White Duke).

A Lunar Labyrinth - 2.5/5 (I thought this one would have been cooler but Gaiman does this kind of story better other places in the collection)

Down to a Sunless Sea - 3/5 (I also really wanted this one to do more)

My Last Landlady - 3.5/5 (This one could have been more engaging with a bit more to build it up)

The Return of the Thin White Duke - 1/5 (This one felt horribly overwritten)

Black Dog - 5/5 (This makes me think I would have enjoyed American Gods best as a short story collection because this really worked for me - check the content warnings though)
