I almost didn’t finish this book but got to page 50 and it started to show some promise. That fizzled quickly.
Maybe it’s just me but the cadence of the author’s writing just made this book so tedious to read. There were words in a sentence that I just didn’t expect or words missing from a sentence that I did expect. This left me going back and re-reading sentences on several occasions.
The characters lacked depth. The plot felt like a childish version of “Titanic”. Any romance was lack luster. This was my first time reading Anna Godberson and it will likely be my last.
