I really enjoyed this book. I tried to rate it based on what it's meant to be more than what my preferences are because I typically don't like comics, but I can't really hold a book I bought knowing it's a comic at fault for being what it is supposed to be. The animations are super cute. I usually have trouble completely understanding and picking up on plot points from comics but this book was super easy to follow. It builds suspense well and is great at slowing down and picking up pace when needed. The characters are super lovable and you find yourself rooting for them a little bit. I like the idea of reading this after reading the novel the author wrote about the main character's sister to have a more complete understanding of the behind-the-scenes details, but even without that it's a lovely comic.
