You Don't Know Us Negroes and Other Essays by Zora Neale Hurston, Genevieve West, Henry Louis Gates Jr.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 42%.
Very long and jumps around a lot. Might be easier to digest outside of the audio. Easier to skip while reading than listening.

I stopped around the time ppl were being called to God which, in the stories told, seemed like an excuse to abdandon their families and be shitty to others.

I thought I'd return to it, but it's too long and not compelling enough.
