OK. Just OK.
The first section - 'The Clubs, Racism, Stupidity, Bad Transfers, Capital Cities, The Leicester Fairy Tale and What Actually Happened in that Penalty Shoot-Out in Moscow - is fascinating and vastly more interesting than the following sections on The Fans and Countries Rich and Poor.
I read the original (2001?) edition but either a lot has been changed since then or none of it stuck in my mind 2000 years ago. I suspect a bit of both.
BTW no mention of Scotland in the International performance tables - we're either middling or the authors couldn't separate Scotland's economic position from that of the UK - although, they managed for England.
