Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann
4.0
I literally couldn’t put this down. Started in the morning and was finished by the evening.
This book broke me multiple times and put me back together every time.
Is definitely is a dark story but the way the author writes how Cora and Dean deal with their trauma is so realistic and believable. I questioned their feelings as a trauma bond but the more the story goes on you realise it was always there but was hidden beneath the teasing and pranks over the years. What I will say is the sister was irritating as hell and although I understand her hurt, her lack of empathy for what her sister and dean went through was irritating as hell.
This truly is a beautifully written story.
