Sensory: Life on the Spectrum by Bex Ollerton, Schnumn
4.0
I’m so happy this book exists. I am adding it to my middle school class library, and recommending it to folks who don’t know much about ASD. However, I have two could-be-better’s:
1. I didn’t like that each comic blended into the other. This quick change without warning to each comic doesn’t feel autism-friendly either.
2. I also would’ve liked a little more varied topics relating to autism. The comics about intersectionality, Asperger’s diagnosis, and one about autistic joy stuck out to me. The other comics were repetitive with different art.
