The Wicked Aftermath by Melissa Foster

5.0

Review originally posted on my blog: I Heart Fictional People

INITIAL THOUGHTS

I haven’t read Melissa Foster in years, but I remember loving her books. Because I have been a bit more cynical about love in recent years, I didn’t know if I would enjoy her books as much as I used to, but I really wanted to try this one because I have heard such good things.

(By the way, a lot of this review will be vague because I really don’t want to give anything away.)

WHAT I LIKED

Tank. Tank has my whole heart. He’s the ultimate book boyfriend, and everyone else in all of fiction pales in comparison. When I named my blog I Heart Fictional People, this is who I imagined, and it took me six years to find him. Melissa Foster, thank you for creating this beautifully kind, protective, patient, and compassionate man.

Leah. What I loved the most about Leah was that she was real and relatable. I could see myself in her. I could see myself making similar decisions and worrying about the same things. Sometimes her thoughts and feelings are irrational, but that’s what makes her so real. We’ve all been there. She’s doing the best she can under the circumstances, and I had so much admiration and respect for her throughout the book.

The Wickeds. Can these people be real and adopt me please?? I’m just kidding; I have a great family
