Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body, by Roxane Gay

5.0

I have a lot of thoughts about this that I'm having a hard time articulating.

First of all, listening to the audiobook was absolutely the right decision. Roxane Gay has the most pleasant voice, and hearing her narrate her own story added so much meaning to it.

The book itself was...eye opening. I have a family member that is really fatphobic, and I desperately want to make him read this. It shows that we don't always know why someone is overweight, and that the reasons don't matter at the end of the day because they have a right to exist in the world just like skinny people do. I admire Roxane Gay so much for sharing her experiences with the world.
