This is a fun early reader book. Repeated use of words and phonemes aid readers in making meaning and the pictures help define prepositional words that are often difficult to define in words! I can even see this book being used in middle school language arts classes when talking about prepositions. A parent or a teacher could also add a SEL component to the book by asking readers how Goat and Frog are feeling during their competition and what a thoughtful response to the situations might be.
