Spellbound: A Graphic Memoir by Bishakh Som

challenging emotional reflective slow-paced

5.0

"I am bewitched, entranced. There are aspects of myself that are starting to come into focus and other facets which are becoming blurry, softer.
There is an alchemy at work, a sparkling transmutation. Like muscle and bone turned to light and air. There are moments when I am unencumbered by my body...This is witchery of the sweetest kind. I'm enrapt, spellbound. Like we've written and cast a mutual spell over ourselves."

raw and experimental and beautiful! this unique "displaced memoir" and exploratory fiction melded together was a wonderfully weird read, and the experience really deepen my enjoyment of the author's fiction works.
