I wasn't really sure what to rate this book as I enjoyed the thriller and not knowing what was coming aspect of this book, however it seemed kind of...dry? I'm not sure if that's the word to use.

The beginning was really slow which is expected in most books as lives are being built and characters are being introduced. It picked up a lot once the girls flew to Austin and started investigating and then it was a whirlwind from there until the end.

Speaking of, I hated the ending. I understand why it culminated the way that it did, but am I happy about it? Absolutely not. I'm really glad Bailey eventually warmed up to Hannah but I also hated how she treated her the entire book. What did she ever do to her besides fall in love with her dad?

I wish we'd found out just what it was that Owen did in his past that everyone swears to Hannah they could "tell her and she'd never see him the same again" but they conveniently won't because Hannah doesn't care enough to hear it. I can't understand the fullness of the hatred these people had toward him until I know everything that he did to them.

Overall it was a good read. I enjoyed the story and the characters. I liked Hannah and Bailey's character development as the book went and the entire thing with Owen was kind of just....shit. He didn't deserve anything he got, but he had to know that snitches get stitches - or in this case they get buried.
