The premise of the book sounded intriguing. I was hoping for a mystery/thriller with some romance. There is no suspense/tension build up for the 'mystery/thriller' part of the book. I find myself waiting and waiting for the feeling of suspense and am rather disinterested in the mysterious happenings. The characters are boring and lack depth. The twist at the very end comes out of nowhere. No hints or anything in the book would lead you to believe the revelation that happens at the end. The story tries to give you some hints about what's happening but the way the characters interact with them makes you wonder if anything nefarious is actually happening here or not. I listened to the audiobook while on a road trip. It was entertaining enough for the drive, but had I been reading the book I likely would have discarded pretty quickly.
