Read The Craving Mind before this one. This has a lot of the same stuff. In fact, if I were only focused on anxiety and not also my addiction to food, I might have found that frustrating. Dr Brewer’s primary hypothesis is that anxiety is a habit loop like so many others that drive our behavior. I think he’s right, but if you’re looking for a “quick fix” or “magic pill”, it’s not here.

That said, the strategies in this book are solid. I think they really can help you deal with your anxiety, cravings, and other habit loops. Give it a read!
